busan stories (happy president's day)
today is happy president's day. so i'd like to wish a few people happy president's day...
happy president's day to my alarm clock that woke me up at 6:50 in the morning...
happy president's day to my roommates who were sound asleep...
happy president's day to my shower...
happy president's day to my black camry...
happy president's day to the guys i saw getting pulled over on the freeway...
happy president's day to my co-workers...
yes... tis true. another day of grinding commences on this occassion for celebrating the life and death of our forefathers. what happened to waking up late and enjoying the day's sunshine through the vitality and animation of my youth? what is left today, is to pass the deafening silence of my situation in loud defeat... to squint my eyes to look past the veil of depression that enclothes me and to fix my gaze away from youth, sunshine and the american way, onto the concrete of my appointed timesheet so that i can make the money to spend the money to save the money to love the money... that is what i shall celebrate today... for the names of my forefathers are not washington, lincoln, jefferson... the letters of their name have been perversed into excel, word and access... tis the celebration of my dead presidents...
