two cents (right and wrong)
growing up, i loved reading comic books.
my dad never bought any for me, but i'd pick up any that i could find and collect any money that i had. i remember some older friend gave me a collection of comic books when he moved. those were my babies. i had spider-man, ghost-rider, hawkeye and a few more. i treated each comic like a baby, but read each one over a dozen times. i even drew a huge poster of hawkeye that i was so proud of.
but my favorite comic book character was and still is superman.
i realized now that it's not because he was practically invincible, had heat vision, could fly or any of those things. i think it was because he had an uncanny ability to know what was right and wrong. even in the greyest situations, he was able to find a thin thread of what was right and he did it.
i have no idea what the hell i'm doing.
i am like a wave blown and toss by the wind. i don't know what's ultimately right and wrong. i only have an inkling... a feeling... principles that i thought i believed in. goddamn! where's the freaggin light?!?!?!
wish i was superman...
